It was a slow day at work today and on the way home I was thinking about going to the coffee shop camera meeting tonight. Each month have a contest and tonight the photo we enter must start with the letter "I". That's what I was thinking about on the way home.
The suprise was on the table when I got home. Last week I went to the PPMA Convention, in Moblie, Al and signed up for a door prize and never thought anymore about it. Well I had a box waiting on me from SHOWCASE with a card telling me my name had been pulled for a thinkTank Trim Changer... it's not bigger enought to put a lot of gear in, but I'll find some use for it.

What's in a date
Today will mark my first entry to this blog. Will I remember this date 31 years from today as I remembered almost to the second every move I made 31 years ago yesterday? Something tells me that this morning will be lost as so many before has been lost.
Yesterday was one of those days you remember for a lot of reasons... I was young, I had no idea what turns my life would take, it was a day to be happy. It was the day I got married. I was on top of the world...
At the age of 21, I thought I had the answer to all the questions. As it turns out I didn't even have a clue to what the questions were.
We had our first little girl 1 1/2 years later. It was hard living in a one bed room apt and with me working the midnight shift. We made it. I guess that's the one thing about being young... you can do anything.
Looking back from where I sit this morning.... never would I have dreamed that I would be sitting here writting this alone. For the past 7 years I've been here... my daughers coming to live with me off and on. 31 years ago I woke up with a new bride... this morning I woke up to an empty house.... no longer a home, but just a place to try to rest and find comfort. The sounds of laughter are heard only in my memories.
